Baby Names:

Kylie

Meaning: Boomerang

Origin: Austrailian

Alternate spellings: Kylee, Kiley, Kileigh, Kylee, Kyleigh

Kylie is an Australian name that may have come from the Aboriginal word for “boomerang,” but so far in its U.S. history, no comebacks have been necessary. Kylie hit the U.S. charts in 1978, made big leaps in the eighties, and hit the top 100 for the first time in 2001. It’s still on its way up, probably fueled by Australian singer Kylie Minogue. This is another winner for creative spellers; other Kylies include Kylee, Kyleigh, and Kiley.

I didn’t realize there were more ways to spell this name. I think I’m leaning towards Kileigh as my fav.
