The Babble Review: Silikids Kneepads

Posted by Gwynne Watkins

Until they've learned to walk upright, your little crawler's commute can be a drag. Aside from the petri dish of nastiness their hands become on a regular basis, there's the quandary of those knocked-around knees — whether it's pants legs being rubbed into near-extinction or plump knees scratched to an uncomfortable redness. Kneepads by Silikids ($15 a pair) feature silicone disks to help protect those darling dimples from rug burns, splinters and such. We tested them on the chubbiest pair of baby legs we know to ensure a comfy fit, and they instantly inspired a spontaneous chorus of "Let's Get Physical" (until we remembered the adult themes of that song, at which point we switched to "What A Feeling."). Sure, you'll eventually lose them in the wash just as effortlessly as you lose your crawler's socks — but until then, you'll both enjoy the smoother sailing. — Leigh-Ann Jackson
