Spit Up: Germ Guardian Nursery Sanitizer

Posted by chrisjordan

One Step Ahead calls this product the easy, foolproof way to sanitize toys, pacifiers, and bottles in just 30 minutes.  I call it another product that preys on the fears of new mothers.

Save your $59.95 and toss the items in the dishwasher or washing machine to sanitize them.  Or get really crazy like our mothers used to and toss them in a pot of boiling water.

I actually think this is a very good idea.  I've been looking for something like this because most the baby toys you buy these days shouldn't be submerged in water.  Plush toys with lights, music players, or those "dog toy" squeekers (which you can never get the water out of) can't be tossed in the washer.  Even the plush toys that you can wash either get disfigured/ruined after a few washings or end up stinking/molding because you can't get the stuffing dry in a timely manner.

I'm not a Paranoid Dad, I just hate mold and toy that smell like laundry was forgot in the washer over the weekend.
