The Babble Review: BabySoy Organic Baby Clothes

Posted by Gwynne Watkins

Working at a baby magazine, I see a lot of great new products. Swank stuff. Silk slings. Quinny strollers. Crazy stuff comes through these doors. I'm not very gear-heady, so I'm usually happy to hand them off to our reviewers and make do with my hand-me-downs. But this Baby Soy stuff I snatched up. My son wore the Kimono Onepiece ($22) until several weeks after he outgrew it. He'll be spending the fall in the Year Round Reversible Hoodie (tea/chocolate; $28). And he sleeps with the Signature Soft Blanket ($18). I'm not even opposed to poly-blend whatever, so it's not like I have anything invested in soybean-protein-fiber ("vegetable cashmere"). These clothes are just so crazy soft. And the extra internal snap on the kimono is pure genius. Plus, it's not ridiculously expensive, so I can make it a baby-shower staple even when it's not in our free-stuff pile. -- Ada Calhoun
