A Modern Sled Too Good for the Slopes.

Posted by Chris Ford

In a lot of places in the United States, winter snow has finally arrived. And for lots of children, the next best thing to a school cancellation is sledding with their friends. But this sled from Design Within Reach might be too beautiful (and costly) to risk on your favorite hill (or your favorite child). The Peak Sled is made of bent ash wood, polypropylene webbing, metal runners, and even has a wood handle for towing it back up the hill. Although it's beautifully sculptural, for $375 it will probably be the most conspicuous sled in the park too.

Available for $375 at Design Within Reach.

Well, if you already have the most conspicuous stroller on the block, you might as well have the best sled, too.
