African Designs on Products from Marimekko

Posted by Chris Ford

We've written about products from Finnish textile and design company Marimekko before, so here's another cool one to add to the list. Designed by Olivia Toikka, the Opari pattern is based on his "Afrikan kuningatar (Queen of Africa) children's fabric pattern".

There are bibs, aprons and children's dishes. (I'm kind of partial to the apron pictured). All of the textile products will be a little different, as they are cut from a bigger piece of cloth with the pattern.

Mug and Plate, $47. Apron, $18. Tray, $25. All from Unicahome.com. The bib seems to be out of stock and discontinued unfortunately.
