First Look: Eco-Friendly Plush Animals from Aurora

Posted by Erin Behan

The Aurora plush toy company is about to introduce what it calls the world's first "green" plush stuffed animal line. The exterior is made from soybeans, while the interior is made from Kapok, a sustainable rainforest crop. You can buy a select number of stuffed animals now through the San Diego Zoo and Monterey Bay Aquarium. My favorite of that bunch is the Natural Soy Panda and Cub, above ($39.99). While the official launch of the line is in June, you can see photos of several of the about-to-be-released plush animals after the jump, including a rather adorable teddy bear you might not be able to live without.

I bought these fabulous plush pieces for my nieces from Shopzoo.com - They sleep with them, carry them everywhere they go. Way to go San Diego Zoo for leading the green way!
