I thought spring showers brought May flowers, not summer showers bringing ... well, I’d prefer flowers, but in our neck of the woods, they bring hungry ol’ mosquitoes. I’m still figuring out an effective way to fend off the buggies, but we can handle the rain. To prep for sudden showers, we’ve stashed umbrellas in cars, in the house, at work, anywhere we can. Though no one really complains during a downpour, it’s nice to have a kid-sized ‘brella, like Western Chief Kids’ Cowboy Umbrella.
It’s got the retro-Western feel that Howdy Doody would appreciate with a bucking bronco, horseshoes, stars and a rope decorating it’s brown nylon fabric. If you’re really into it, you can spring for the matching rain boots and rain coat.
