The Miracle Claims of the Belly Bandit

Posted by SunnyChanel

Not since the heyday of the Ginsu knife set or the Flowbee haircutting machine, has a list of miracle product claims been so tempting! Check out what the Belly Bandit, the “abdominal compression binder” that tightens and shrinks that bulging post preggers belly, claims to be able to accomplish. If even half of these are true, then I’d buy stock in the company today. What can it do for you, you ask? It “Improves Posture”, “Adds Abdominal Support and Comfort after a C-Section”, “Helps Minimize Stretch Marks”, “Reduces Discomfort”, “Helps Lose Inches Faster”, “Accelerates the Healing Process”, “Reduces Pressure on Back and Legs”, “Helps to Minimizes Swelling”, and “Provides Support while Breastfeeding” and last but not least “Restores Confidence”. And not only that, but it comes in fashion forward peek a boo prints like a Pucci like paisley or a Burberry like plaid, along with a tiger or zebra pattern among others for $49.95 or you can opt for the eco-friendly plain bamboo version for $59.95. It’s a bit late for me to get one, since I had my baby over two years ago, but I’d be curious if any of your have given it a try?

Two postpartum thumbs-up from me!  I bought a similar product after the birth of my daughter in December.  The one I bought was a lot a cheaper but, I have to say, it actually did accomplish a lot of the above-mentioned things. I had a c-section, and I felt like my insides were going to fall out.  I wore it for probably the first 2 weeks and it helped to support my stomach and back.  It also sort of sucked everything back into place.  I should note it was winter, so I did not mind the extra layer.  Generally, I wore a form fitting tank (nude, black or white) then the belly bandit-like undergarment and, finally, a shirt or sweater over that.

I had a c-section and tried an abdominal binder provided by the hospital. I was more comfortable without it.

I bought a no-nonsense one at Babies "R" Us for about $25. Wore it twice and found it very, very annoying (after 9 months of having something in my abdomen, I didn't want to go putting something on top of my abdomen), but I didn't have a C-section, so maybe it's good for that.

I am postpardum with my second child and was given a belly bandit for a gift.  I have to tell you it is the most amazing present I have ever received!!  It is so comfortable and I noticed a difference in my waist within 2 weeks.  I know there are other wraps out there as referenced by other bloggers, but the KEY is to get the ORIGNAL BELLY BANDIT because of it's incredible design and comfort!!  So, new moms, let your fingers do the walking to the website and order one for yourself...you'll be glad you did.

Belly binding has been around for a long time and is still faithfully used in many cultures.  I haven't tried it yet but I'm currently pregnant with $5 and I'm looking forward to trying it postpartum...
