Spit Up: What Does a $47,000 Child’s Bed Look Like?

Posted by SunnyChanel

You think I’m kidding? Sadly I am not. There is a girl’s bed out there that is priced at stunning $47,000 dollars. As much as a Lexus, more than the average U.S. yearly salary, or the price of a beach house in Gulfport, Mississippi. The interior of the coach measures about 6 ft in diameter so it’ll be spacious enough for your little princess. I should also add that the price STARTS at $47,0000 and is “subject to change”. But you better plan ahead on picking this up for your girl’s next birthday since the delivery time is over six months being that each coach is handcrafted in England or wood and fiberglass. $47,000…really? Geez. Order yours here!

If I could afford that, I'm sure I could afford to have someone custom make something similar for much, much less.

If I could afford that, I hope I'd also have enough staff to talk me out of it!

A beach house in Gulfport, MS? Better check again or fix that link-the last time I looked it could set you back about half a million for the land alone. The insurance now costs $47,000, thanks to Katrina.

OK, $47,000 is of course ridiculous, but that bed is actually pretty cool if you're into ultimate over-the-top princess excess.  My best friend's little girl who is a princess type would probably convince her parents to pay $10 just so she could play in that room for an hour.  If you figure four little girls could play at once, charged $10 a head, and kept the thing occupied for eight hours a day... paid off in under a year if my math is right!

I love the PoshTots catalog.  Always good for a noveau riche fantasy.  If only we bought lottery tickets...

Are you kidding us? Did someone actually pay $47,000 for THAT? For that much money, you could have your daughter's room beautifully redecorated, get her a great wardrobe, open a $1,000 bank account for her to teach her how to handle money and invest the rest for her college education. Oh, but we're not talking about practicaliies here.
