America has Elmo and England has Charlie and Lola

Posted by elizabeth leach

We first wrote about Charlie and Lola dolls back in March and I am pleased to say that they're now available to purchase here in the good ol' U.S.A. Charlie and Lola are characters from the award winning books by Lauren Child. They are also very hip looking dolls with British accents. Press Charlie’s stomach and he says, “I have this little sister, Lola. She is small and very funny.” And Lola says, “I’m not small. I am big.”

The books are beautifully written and illustrated with mixed media artwork and collage. Choose from titles such as, "But I Am an Alligator", "I'm Just Not Keen on Spiders", and "I Am Really, Really Concentrating". Ah, those Brits... they really, really are funny. Purchase Charlie and Lola books on Amazon.

Purchase the Talking Poseable Charlie and Lola Set for $25 or purchase Giggling Charlie and Giggling Lola separately for $10 each. And don’t forget Charlie and Lola’s dog, Sizzles, for $10. Sizzles doesn't speak, bark, or giggle, but he’s definitely cute. Charlie and Lola dolls are available at FAO Schwarz.

Watch Charlie and Lola weekdays at 10 am and weekends at 11:30 am on Playhouse Disney.

we're huge fans of charlie and lola - especially since we have an older boy and younger girl.

Sizzles isn't their dog though - it's Marv and Morten's dog who live in a flat downstairs.

gotta be careful with those tv addictions... you get to know too much

My gosh' I just can't tell you how very much we LOVE Hcarlie and Lola.

They are such tremendously good role models and that Charlie, he should be awarded sainthood.
