Bassinet That Goes Beyond Babyhood

Posted by Lisa Mulcahy

It’s really unfortunate when you think about all the cash that’s spent on newborn gear that’s only useful for a couple of months. I have an attic full of such gear as proof. So it’s refreshing to see a company trying to expand the life of their products, as well as provide a means to recycle them.

Complete with modern styling at an affordable price, The Eden Convertible Bassinet by Baby Planet, $149.99, also converts into a toddler seat. Instead of the usual three months that most people use a bassinet you can use this baby well into the terrible twos.

Another feature I like is that you can snap the top off to tote baby around like you would with a Moses basket.

And here’s the innovative part, Baby Planet will take back any Eden Bassinet once it has passed it’s prime and disassemble the bassinet, so the parts can go to recycling centers and stay out of landfills.
