Move Over American Girl There’s a New Doll in Town

Posted by Lisa Mulcahy

If your little princess thinks American Girl Dolls are the greatest thing since sliced bread, look out. Now there’s some competition in the customized doll arena.

Like American Girl Dolls, you can order My Twinn Dolls, $149, with the same hair, eye and skin color as your daughter. The difference: My Twinn takes it to the next level. You submit a photo of your child so their doll artisans can in essence make a “mini me.” Freckles, unique birthmarks, dimples, they do it all. Sure to be a hot holiday item, no two dolls are ever the same.

Personally, these creep me out; then again I’ve never had a daughter. Surely little girls across the country will disagree with me.

These have been around for quite a while..and yes..creepy. I'm pretty sure my daughter would go nuts over one though.

Geez. Even if my kid wanted one, I don't think I could let it happen. I'd have nightmares.
