IKEA Helping Children in Developing Countries

Posted by Lisa Mulcahy

This holiday season IKEA’s amazingly priced soft toys will again be available at all IKEA stores nationwide. These soft toys range in price from $1.49 up to $19.99. And with each purchase, between November 1 - December 24th, approximately $1.30 ($1 Euro Dollar) goes to IKEA’s partners UNICEF and Save the Children's educational programs (16 projects in total) in 14 developing countries around the world.

Funds raised during the IKEA 2008 Soft Toy Campaign will support projects to help improve school facilities, give access to water and sanitation, strengthen the right to education for disabled children, and provide educational supplies like books, pencils and writing pads for children and teachers.

If you buy these for a toy drive it would be like giving two gifts!
