CES 2009: Barbie B Nails - Inkjet Fingernail Printer

Posted by Chris Ford

If you ask me, Barbie B Nails from Mattel is a home run. It's basically an ink jet printer that prints designs (and even photos) on your nails. If it's reliable, I can't see how Mattel won't have little girls demanding this for Christmas in 2009.

The Barbie B Nails works in conjunction with your computer. The girl picks out a design in the software (there are over 1,000 or she can upload a picture of her own) and then puts her hand inside the machine. There's a little camera inside so she can place her fingernail in just the right place, and then when she presses the button the design gets printed on her nail.

The Barbie B Nails (I'm not sure exactly what the "B" in the name means) is for ages 8 years old and up and should be available in the fall of 2009. No price has been announced.
