Snowmobiles Go Mini

Posted by Lisa Mulcahy

In response to daily news reports of people complaining about the cold winter, I say come to Greenwood Lake. The nine-mile lake that’s 50 miles north of Manhattan has frozen solid and the kids (and adults) are enjoying it. Being a newcomer to “upstate” life this winter was my first time seeing mini snowmobiles for kids. For fear of sounding like a total redneck, they’re pretty awesome.

Check out the 2009 Arctic Cat Sno Pro 120, $2,299. It comes in green and pink and is just the right size for little tikes. I never knew snowmobiling was such a family sport, but apparently it is. Now that beats being cooped up in the house playing the Wii all winter.
