Store Books In This Modern Playhouse

Posted by Lisa Estall

This Dollhouse Bookshelf would be a nice addition for a little girl’s bedroom. Store books and knick knacks in each of the six “rooms”.

Painted white with green accents, I think it's a nice modern take on a traditional dollhouse. You do have to assemble it yourself and it’s only sold online at Pottery Barn Kids. The price is $399.

MIchael's Arts and Crafts has a similar unfinished wood dollhouse for around $40.  I painted it to match my dd's bedroom, and included a little painting of her in it.  Much better and cheaper:)

...for a little girl’s bedroom?

I guess, because, boys don't have books or knick knacks and should certainly not be encouraged to use their imagination thinking about living in a house.

I also love how Parents and Parenting Magazine are written for and directly to Moms.  LOL  What do Dad's read?  OH, nevermind.  We don't have books, or knick knacks and must be at work, not playing house.  (still laughing, but it is pretty annoying).
