Previous to this year, I had never been accused of being an optimist. No, I’m not going to preach about the virtues of thrift or how a crappy economy is going to bring out the best in people; I dunno if that stuff is true. But I do think it’s a good time to look around and appreciate what you do have. If you need a more opaque reminder, toss a “Life is Good” hoodie on the kids and play a game till you feel better.
