Be Kind to Big Boobs

Posted by Heather Kuldell

For a culture as obsessed with big boobs as ours, it's surprisingly hard to find properly fitting bras once you get over a D or so. And if you thought the pregnancy boobs were big, wait till the milk kicks in: You'll be searching for cup sizes that were previously inconceivable. DDD?! G?! Yowsa.

Droolicious has given some love to Bravado before, but with the impending warm weather, you should know about the Essential Nursing Bra Tank ($45). Available in six colors, these tanks feature a built-in, full-support bra with nursing clips. And full support means you retain a natural shape, not the uniboob shelf bras can create. Tanks are available in cup sizes from B/C to F/G and band sizes 34 through 40. The flexible cotton and spandex blend and adjustable straps help accommodate changing shapes, which yours will continue to do for while. (But don't worry, at this point, it can mean shrinking.)

Best nursing tank ever!  I am not currently nursing and I still find myself wearing mine.  The support is amazing and my DD's never drooped!

Thank you! I wear a 38D, and while I'm not pregnant yet, I've been bothered by the way maternity clothing product blogs review seem to stop at a size 12 (or smaller), but I wear a 16 now--and I'm totally confused about maternity sizing anyway (maybe you could write a post about that?). What am I going to wear when I need maternity clothes?!

Maternity clothes over size 16 aren't impossible to find, but expect to do some searching and some sighing about the style style choices. For some readily available options, the Liz Lange line at Target comes in sizes up to 20.
