With more gadgets, dolls and educational tools than you could shake a re-forested stick at, the 2008 Toy Fair in New York City brought thousands of exhibitors from around the globe to hock their wares. Babble regressed and played with the goods. Here’s what we found:
Monchhichi
They’re back! But apparently if you’re a Euro, they were never gone. According to the rep, Monchhichi is returning to the US in a big way, as they will have their own habitat (and what is their habitat exactly? Jungle? Condo?) in FAO Schwarz later this year. Judging by these examples at Toy Fair these new Monchhichis look exactly like the ones we collected back in the day. We’re hoping the commercial stays classic as well. - April Peveteaux
