  • I Heart Tori Spelling's Stroller

I’m not obsessed with Tori Spelling. This is my second post about her but that doesn’t mean I’m obsessed. I just think she has some cool stuff and since it's my job to tell you about cool stuff here goes...

  • The Perfect In-Between Stroller? Baby Jogger City Mini

As I assume many first-time parents do, we chose our stroller after much asking around, baby store shopping and general hand-wringing. I'm sure I don't have to tell anyone reading this blog that after a while strollers begin to represent everything you will ever be as a parent. The very living embodiment of your love and thoughtfulness to your child. And, so we chose the Baby Jogger City Mini, available all over the web.

    The upsides:

-It turns on a dime and has sturdy wheels that would seem to handle sidewalk cracks and bumps well.

-It is about the same size as the Bugaboo Frog or the MacLaren Techno XLR (the two competitors in my 'hood).

-It folds in one motion (really, sometimes people say this about a stroller and it isn't true, this one does, you just lift a handle and the whole thing collapses)

-It folds into a size that isn't prohibitively big for taking on the subway or bus.

-It weighs 16.8 pounds and fits a child of up to 50 pounds.

-The base price is $200, much less than its competition.

    The downside:

-Although it has a near vertical recline (150 degree), they say you should use an infant car seat for the first three months (guessing this depends on size of baby).

So, in my mind, this is my ideal stroller, but I've yet to birth the baby, put him or her in it and push the wee one around. Anybody have one and love it? Or hate it? I can take it.
