Back in my day, we had to walk uphill, both ways, in the snow, and we liked it. If you wanted a "horsey ride," maybe Daddy bounced you on his knee for a minute or two, and if you were lucky you didn't fall off and crack your head open on the coffee table. And then he told you to go get him another beer.
