I once watched my kid sister lob her pacifier out the window of our family car as we tore down the freeway toward Grandma's place. (Child safety was more lax back then.) If we'd only had a binkie clip, the rest of the trip might've been a few hundred decibels quieter, but considering how ugly most of those things are, we still would've had to wait a few generations for something as fine as the Bella Tunno Binker ($8; pictured in Rugby Girl Stripe).
