• Kmart Covers Its Rear on 'Abstinence Pants' Issue

  Hat tip to Consumerist for this one: Apparently, "True Love Waits" is a familiar slogan among Christian teens that are down with abstinence (not that I'd know or anything), but according to spokespeople from Kmart, which is selling $16.99 girls' sweatpants with said catch phrase emblazoned across their asses and hips, that's not the connotation here. Which is sort of weird when you consider that on its own website, the company (which, incidentally, doesn't offer a chastity belt similar sweats for dudes), notes just the opposite... Read More... • Oobi Baby Knit Overalls at Three Lovelies

  About a month ago, Meredith posted about some adorable striped cashmere pants by Oyoyo on Etsy. The price wasn't so crazy for cashmere (now $45, 1 left), but as she noted, most babies aren't quite ready for the rigors of caring for cashmere fabric. So I was happy to find a very similar-looking striped pant with suspenders made of 100 percent cotton by Australian company Oobi Baby on shopping site Three Lovelies. They are also more expensive at $55 (I suppose that's what happens when you import from Australia?), but at least you can just throw them in the washing machine. And don't forget to pair them with the label's cute matching chocolate booties ($35). • "Frenchy" Denim Pants That Channel Audrey H.

  Whether or not you're aware, they make "skinny jeans" for toddlers. Even more scoff-worthy is the fact that my daughter has a pair (I didn't buy them, though, I swear). They're actually not too restrictive and allow her to get up to her shennanigans almost as well as any other pair of jeans she has. But enough of my rationalizations. These "Frenchy" straight-leg denim pants by LucysPlace look like a much safer bet for parents who aren't such slaves to fashion. With their striped cuffs and trim, they're made of European denim with Lycra blended in for stretch. The elastic waist — instead of a zipper or buttons — and lack of restrictive seams seal the deal on comfort. • The Rhumba Panty Gone Loungewear: Luna Luna Merengue Pant

  So far as I'm concerned, one of the indisputable points in favor of having a girl over a boy is that they are way more fun to dress. There is nothing cuter than a little girl in a pair of those ruffly rhumba pants. Luna Luna took the ruffle-tushie we all love and put it on a (far more practical) pair of velour lounge pants. Get them at OHBaby! in size 6M to 24M for $56 each. (No, I wouldn't spend that, myself, but I sure wouldn't turn them down as a gift. Heh.)
