My love for this skirt is completely irrational. It reminds me of my grandmother and her vintage aprons.
I picture my daughter wearing this running barefoot through our barn, gathering eggs, and then baking up an apple pie. Not that I live on a farm or have chickens. Nor do I let my 4 yr old bake. But the red rooster made from vintage chenille, the matching red ric rac, and the hand stamped green chicks make me feel like I could do those things. You know if I got over my hatred of the great outdoors, dirt and smelly animals.
