Look like they might collapse and crush the sleeping child below or b.) Are too sleep away camp for me. Not this double-decker model.

The price tag is a little steep at $1,899, but Room & Board’s Moda Duo Bunk will last at least until the teenage years. And if you calculate the price for two separate beds (if you even have space for that) it’s not so bad. Well, maybe it is, but with solid maple construction, is worth the investment.

The Babble Review: Soft Buggy Cup from Think King

Honestly, what's more American than a cup holder? Some strollers come with cup holders, and others (like my un-American Bubagoo Frog) don't. The Soft Buggy Cup from Think King is a portable cup holder that you can use for much more than beverages in many more places than your stroller. But it works pretty well holding your drink while you're at the mall with the kids too. My full review is after the jump.

The Soft Buggy cup is made of a silver mesh that keeps it's form while still being soft enough to collapse into your bag or pocket. It attaches to whatever you are trying to put it on with a series of velcro straps. In fact I was successful in attaching it to a bunch of things without a problem. On my Bugaboo it worked very well as a cup holder for my daughter, but trying to attach it to the top of the handle while keeping it upright was more of a challenge. It worked better when I attached it a little farther down the handle, but it is the sort of thing that will work best with a capped drink in a bottle (like the picture on the web site).

The cool thing about it though is the other places you can attach it to. Wheelchairs, scooters, bicycles and bunk beds are just some of the suggestions Think King has (I particularly like the bunk-bed idea) but it's limited only by your imagination. If you can wrap a piece of velcro around something, then chances are you can stick a Buggy Cup to it too.

If you're looking to find a place for the kid in the top bunk to keep his water at night, or if you just want a place to keep that caramel macchiato handy, The Soft Buggy Cup is definitely worth checking out.

Soft Buggy Cup, $14.99 from Think-King.com

7 Days of Kids Rooms: Space Shuttle Bunk Bed

If you're going to drop $2,595 for a children's bed, even one that doubles as a loft and indoor playhouse, the idea of going overboard probably isn't an issue to you, so why not go all the way overboard and sink that cash into a custom-made space-shuttle bunk that'll make your kids the envy not only of their playmates, but of NASA engineers, as well?

Made in the USA (I should hope so!), this mother of all play beds is hand-built and painted to order, which means you can have it delivered in any shade you like. Though it's designed to sit against a wall, you can tack on an additional $175 for an extra wing and the freedom to place it anywhere in the room.

As with many beds of this nature, it doesn't include mattresses (it accommodates up to two twins), but you do get two chairs to use inside the cockpit, which, I suppose, is far more important from a kid's perspective. And best of all, it doesn't explode on re-entry!

Subhead Grip Tape Keeps Feet From Slipping

Making something in your kid's room safe doesn't always have to be boring. Subhead Grip Tape is made by skateboarders who realized that feet can slip on all sorts of places besides your board. But sacrifices sometimes must be made for good looks.

The Uffizi Bunk Bed sells for $1850.

Bunk Barrier Protects Little Ones, Confuses Everyone Else

I want to love this ladder cover for bunk beds. I do. What could make more sense than a way to render a bunk ladder inoperable for tiny tots who might be injured climbing on it? Wrap this around the ladder, zip it up, and voila! No toddlers crashing to the ground in their older sibling's bedroom.

But, um, I just have one question. Once you put this on the ladder... how does anyone climb up? Are we actually expecting tweens to unzip, climb, and rezip? (And even if that's the idea, I'm picturing a child hanging upside-down from the top bunk to do so. Nice and safe!) Or maybe we're counting on them shinnying up the sides, monkey-style.

Great idea with a somewhat flawed execution, methinks.
