The price we pay for denim that already looks worn is just amazing. Do we love William Rast jeans? Yes, we do! Should expecting moms have to pay $265 for a pair of designer maternity jeans? No way! No matter how skinny you stay or how plump you become, your maternity jeans will not fit long enough to be a worthy investment. When it comes to pricey denim, shouldn't we get some type of perk for gaining the weight, carrying the baby and delivering the baby? For $265 they should throw in a free pair of normal William Rast jeans ($242) to give us something to look forward to after the pregnancy! Aside from the baby, of course. ;-)

Before I’m lynched for the spit up distinction for organic baby clothes, first let me say that I’m a big advocate for natural products. But what I don’t condone is overpriced clothes that are destined to be pooped in and spit up on.

That’s why these lackluster organic denim jeans that ring in at $118, have landed on my s*%! list. They may be softer than regular jeans but really, that price is ridiculous for a pair of jeans for a one year old. It also perpetuates the idea to the everyday person that organic products are always way more expensive.

Whether or not you're aware, they make "skinny jeans" for toddlers. Even more scoff-worthy is the fact that my daughter has a pair (I didn't buy them, though, I swear). They're actually not too restrictive and allow her to get up to her shennanigans almost as well as any other pair of jeans she has. But enough of my rationalizations. These "Frenchy" straight-leg denim pants by LucysPlace look like a much safer bet for parents who aren't such slaves to fashion. With their striped cuffs and trim, they're made of European denim with Lycra blended in for stretch. The elastic waist — instead of a zipper or buttons — and lack of restrictive seams seal the deal on comfort. A cool little beatnik look for boys or girls.
