I’m not ashamed. Before drifting off to sleep at night I have a guilty pleasure, flipping through magazines while watching TV Food Network’s Ace of Cakes. Since when did cake decorating become so hardcore and architectural? I don’t think I’m the only one watching. Surely little eyes are lighting up across the country when they see the sugar coated creations unfold out of fondant and gum paste. Look out Duff and Charm City Cakes, now they have a chance to practice. No stranger to fabulous felt food, you’ve seen Twinkle Kids on Droolicious before. Now just in time for spring, their Garden Cake is here, $59. It arrives in a white bakery box tied with traditional red and white twine and comes complete with 50 felt decorations that “magically” stick to the three tier felt cake.

Felt Good: Gingerbread House

Assemble em with the kids and avoid ant or sugar-hangover issues. They are 100 percent wool felt, $55, and come with 100 candy decorations that just stick to the house like magic.
