We purchased it so I could travel alone with my then 18 m onth old. I knew I absolutely need his car seat on the plane to keep him locked in and this was the only way I'd have been able to transport him, the car seat and all our carry ons to the gate and it even rolled down the aisle on Southwest. I did have to take it off to attach the car seat to the plane seat but it was so easy to do . If you're on the fence, buy it!&lt;/p&gt;
