This is the first time I’ve seen her kid, and for starters, is anyone else shocked at how fast he’s growing up? It seems like just yesterday that we got all oogh’d out when Celine and Grandpa Fester – I mean RENE! – made that way-too-public deposit at the bio lab and brought home their little French-Canadian Showbiz Dauphin. And in case you missed it the first hundred times, rejoice because Celine has more frozen fertilized eggs where that one came from. No, really.
To give her credit, the kid looks pretty happy and not stoned. Yet. And as Alisyn points out over at our sister site Strollerderby, this crazy hair thing on boys is getting wicked normal these days.
I do have to disagree with Alisyn about Celine being too lazy for even Supercuts. Rene-Charles totally has some Vegas action happening, and I spy some on-purpose-boho chic, a la Kate Hudson and her hippie-in-training son Ryder. Look closely: Rene-Charles and Mom have matching butterscotch highlights. Her flat-ironed metric ton of product, and his all natural air-dry gives them different textures, but if God didn't give Celine that color, then She didn't give it to the kid either.
While that kind of "natural" looking color doesn’t come cheap, hey, she’s the Queen of Vegas. Her kid can’t go around with DIY orange Sun-in streaks like we did, right?
