Bruce Willis credits Will Smith with helping him through "some very dark hours," following his divorce from Demi Moore, and her consequent marriage to the much younger, much hotter Ashton Kutcher.
"He said, 'Dude, you've got to do whatever it takes to get the kids and
all the spouses or the girlfriend together. You've got to show your
kids it's okay.' It was like a light went on. Ding. So Will, thanks. And thanks for all those good movies you're making."
Uh, I don't know about the "good movies" part, but Will has the O.D.H.G. (Original Good Hollywood Divorce) from ex-wife Sheree (he himself has credited second wife Jada Pinkett-Smith with keeping all sides of the family together) - but it is Bruce, Demi and Ashton's blended family that most people see as the shining example of a divorce kept clean and positive, thanks, in part, to all parties overcoming their jealousy issues. "In the luck of the draw I am fortunate to have Ashton in the family," Bruce says. "It took a long time for people to wrap their minds around
the fact that I could be friends with my ex-wife's new husband, but we
are friends."
It's got to be tricky - raising 3 girls with your ex and dude young enough to be your son - but Bruce makes it look easy.
