He was named after the lead character in James' favorite film, "Gladiator." Maximus, the character played in the movie by Russell Crowe, is a powerful Roman general who seeks revenge for his family's murder as a gladiator.
Let's hope Maximus can help the Cavaliers, as they are one loss away from being eliminated in the NBA Finals.
