What was it that I said last time about Britney? That I really don't like ragging on her parenting skills? Well, if that's true - and it may not be entirely true - then I'm apparently going to have a rough ride as a gossip blogger. For one, because Britney provides us with evidence of her, um, deficiencies in the lifeskills department every day, and for another, because people just keep popping up to assure us that that evidence is indeed exactly what it seems.

To wit: X17 is reporting that Britney's current stay with kids and boyfriend/manny/caveman at the Bev Hills Four Seasons Hotel (shown above, on hotel balcony) is entirely due to the fact that her Bel Air and Malibu mansions are being investigated as unsafe by Child Protection Services. Apparently, whatever safety features are installed around her swimming pools are significantly sub-par.

Celebrity Baby Blog is asking its readers whether Brit-Brit is being unfairly targetted by the CPS. I say, if Brit were some run-of-the-mill single mom in social housing out partying all night and shunning underwear and not using car seats and failing to keep a safe home, she'd have had her kids taken away long before now. If the rumors are untrue, fine, but if they aren't? Someone's got to talk some sense to that girl.
