Matt Damon needed to look worn and tired for his latest turn as super stud Jason Bourne. Did he go days without sleep by running from the government and whatever else it is that "serious" actor would do? No. He took it one better. He stayed home and tinkered in reality. He credits the fact that his daughter, Isabella, was born right before filming started on The Bourne Ultimatum, as the reason for his convincing look. Says Damon, ""I look so exhausted... Even if I tried to have a methodical
sleep-deprivation look in the film, it wouldn't be as authentic as me
being up all night with a crying baby at home."
I really hope his next role requires the same look, and maybe a gray hair or two, because this kids and sleep business, it lasts a while.
