There were a lot of ways Isla Fisher could have gone when asked if she and someday husband Sacha Baron Cohen will ever work together. There's the coy, "Oh, maybe, if the right project comes along" answer. Or the reverential "We'd love to continue the tradition of great comedy couples like Lucy and Desi, Stiller and Meara, Danson and Goldberg." For "Hell no!" most people would have played blue and invoked Gigli.
But Isla's better than that. She went for the deep, dark deadpan and busted out the almost forgotten jinxed couple: Tom and Nicole in Eyes Wide Shut. Genius. Subtle. You could almost think she's being sincere. Almost.
We can expect big things from this woman. I mean in addition to a super tall, dark, hairy baby.
