With his racing days behind him Hank Parker has taken to other American pastimes, at least until the next election, those being hunting and religion. He also spends quite a bit of time with his family, his wife Wendy, daughters Alex, 4, and
Madison, 3, and
nine-month-old Andrew. Parker has big plans for Andrew, 'big' being the keyword.
"He's a tank," Parker said. "He weighed
25 pounds at three months old. He's gonna be my retirement account.
He's already got a football, and I'm teaching him how to hold on to it."
This sounds suspiciously like my own retirement plan. I'm throwing every ball, musical instrument, and frivolous lawsuit I can at my kids in hope something lucrative sticks.
That's a little something I like to call sound planning.
