Adorable Poppy Montgomery is pregnant and due in December, and the producers of Without a Trace are knocking up character Samantha Spade.
"I never thought it was going to be written in, and when they told me,
I thought it was so cool," said Montgomery. "Someone told
me that 'Cagney and Lacey' is the last cop show where they did a
pregnancy. Isn't that interesting?"
The question is, who will the father be?
"I know who the father is and listen, I have to bite my tongue because
I'm bursting to tell everybody but I can't," Montgomery said. "There
are a number of people in the mix, though. Samantha, she's a lover."
The show returns tonight at 10, and the stars believe this will be the season where we get more depth on the characters.
"It's a procedural show but I think it's really important for the
actors and the producers to intermix the personal lives of each of the
agents with their work," said Roselyn Sanchez, who plays Elena Delgado.
"It's going to be really interesting when problems within the office
and personalities [clash]."
