Is Ben Affleck back on the booze? According to a source the actor, who spent time in rehab for alcohol in 2001, was seen celebrating recently with pints of Guinness and a few glasses of wine.
Man, is it wrong to think that Guinness sounds good in the middle of the day?
The source said that Ben was the last one in the bar and had to be dragged out by friends.
I'm not going to throw stones yet. I love Guinness and I don't have any problem with a guy celebrating something big (the party was for his directorial debut, Gone, Baby, Gone, which appears to be doing well). However, if this is the beginning of a problem revisited, then that is a different story.
I'm giving Affleck the benefit of the doubt. I know I've said before that I used to think he was a tool, but writing about him 10x a day has caused me to appreciate him. He and his family are some of the more normal people that pass through the pages of FameCrawler.
An occasional Guinness is good for the soul (and breastmilk!), but in the meantime Ben should just stick with the Starbucks.
