Lynne Spears, Brit's mom has told Life & Style Weekly magazine that she's to blame for her daughter's troubles. "I blame myself, what mother wouldn't?"
Spears says, "I wish I'd been there more while she was touring, But I couldn't be. I had the other kids to look after." Lynne has 2 other children with ex husband, Jamie Spears, one of them being another celeb child, Jamie Lynne, star of Zoey 101. "I didn't raise my children to have Hollywood careers. This all just exploded in my face, and big dreams became big headaches." Ah ya, "big headaches" is sort of an understatement. Those big headaches though haven't stopped Spears from writing a book which is set to be released just in time for Mother's Day. 'Pop Culture Mom: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World' will be out May 11th. Seems like Mama Spears doesn't mind raking in some dough penning her woes concerning her children, namely Britney.
Sure, of course Lynne (and dad Jamie) have some responsibility in how their daugher turned out, perhaps they could have made better choices as parents, and maybe they shouldn't have shoved their daughter into the big bad spotlight at such an early age. However, having said that, Britney Spears is a grown woman now...well she's biologically grown up anyway....with 2 young sons and it's about high time she pulled up her big girl panties (if she's wearing any) and got her sh*t together and took care of them.
Lynne Spears said she and Britney have started to mend their relationship and she's also confident that Britney and Kevin will get everything worked out. Um okay? Wonder how long that will last once the book comes out?
