Look at her! Who wouldn't want to put Britney Spears on their magazine cover? Spears was reportedly close to signing a cover contract with Rolling Stone Magazine. However, Brit called off talks when editor and publisher, Jann Wenner wouldn't promise her the Rolling Stones cover and could wind up on US Weekly instead. Apparently the same thing happened to Nick Lachey last year and he was furious. Hey Nick, any cover you get should be good enough. Same for you Britster.
A source said, "It was going to be a good platform for her music to be taken seriously because it had been so long. But she refused to get screwed by Wenner, they kept negotiating, and it got nasty." Britney take her music seriously? Ha. That hasn't happened since what, 2003?
Spears has contacted Blender Magazine and is hammering out a cover deal with them. Reps for Rolling Stone Mag said they were "exploring a cover", however they never had a discussion about any kind of contract. They really should reconsider. I mean, gosh, I can't take my eyes off of that photo of Brit! She's so glamorous.
