There are court documents that have surfaced in the ongoing custody dispute between Britney Spears and ex husband, Kevin Federline. Spears did not want DCFS (Department of Children and Family Services) to have access to the information pertaining to the case. Hmm, something to hide perhaps? DCFS wanted more court papers concerning Spears' child custody dealings with K'Fed because they are investigating complaints of bad parenting against Brit, however, she didn't want that to happen. Spears cited concerns for the safety of her toddlers, and so, she contested DCFS request, telling the judge, L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon:
"When I travel with Preston and Jayden. I also try to keep the children's travel and transportation plans as confidential as possible in order to minimize the chances that unscrupulous journalists will gain unwelcome access to me and the boys."
"Such information greatly increases the chances that the actions of the media could threaten the safety of the children by, for example, causing a traffic accident or by exposing them to criminals who might target them for financial gain."
EXCUSE ME? She often drags those boys around to unnecessary trips to Starbucks or wherever else her frazzled brain tells her to go, and runs red lights with them in the car and she's concerned about the paparazzi and traffic accidents? PLEASE. I must be mistaken, but I was sure Britney Spears often asks the PAPARAZZI to escort her to her car or WASH HER WINDOWS or PUMP HER GAS. Gah.
A lawyer for DCFS, told the court, that the agency has to investigate any tips or claims about Britney's alleged bad parenting.
"Based upon its investigation to date, it should be noted that DCFS has concerns of its own regarding the safety and welfare of the children if the children are left in the mother's care."
The court documents however, have been heavily blanked out because of concerns for the safety of the children, do not reveal how Gordon ruled on the issue.
DCFS has requested to Commissioner Gordon that until their investigation is done, "the father maintain custody, that the mother's visitation remain monitored, and that the mother continue to drug test, attend counseling and parenting classes, and that the mother undergo and evaluation." Ya think?
