Tina Fey gets to spend quite a bit more time with her 2 year old daughter Alice because of the writer's strike still going on. She's realizing her baby is not such a baby anymore.
"She's hilarious. She's really starting to talk in full sentences, and she has her opinions and she's a little bit learning to lie." Oh yes Tina, the smart ones always know how to lie!
"She's at this age where I'll say, 'I have to change your diaper,' and she'll say, 'No, no, because it's all gone. Diaper all gone.' And I'll say, 'That's a lie.' Or I'll say, 'Eat your vegetables,' and she'll say, 'No, I can't, they're dirty.' She's a very funny, sweet kid."
Fey is married to Jeff Richmond, a composer and he also commented on his daughter's precociousness and her expanding taste in music.
"She likes Mary Poppins," said Richmond, 47. "She sings 'Just a Spoonful of Sugar,' that's her tour de force. ... We were trying to teach her some Amy Winehouse the other day – just the 'No, no, no' part." Oh ya, teach your 2 year old about Amy Wino. Great.
On a brighter note, toddler Alice knows who Anderson Cooper is.
Tina is wanting to be working again, however, she's thankful to have the extra family time.
"I have 1,000 percent more time with Alice," said Fey. "I'm as tired as I was when I was working, because a 2-year-old will wear you out, but that's the only blessing in this strike situation for me." Oh yes, two year olds wear a motha out!
