Actually, I don't know whether or not he was a truly bad father, but I'm guessing that his record - wife-beating, drug-abuse, infidelity, child-support evasion - kinda stands as evidence for the prosecution. In any case, it doesn't matter anymore: he was reported dead of natural causes as of last night.
He's reported to have died in his sleep sometime in the night last night; no other information has been released.
For whatever it's worth, regardless of his exceedingly troubling personal history, he was quite the musician - and his death marks the second significant loss in the music world this month. Let's hope there's no Number 3 pending.
