Pimp C remembered today by family and friends. His funeral was to be held at the Robert A. Bowers Civic Center in his southest Texas hometown of Port Arthur. The funeral was open to the public, but the burial is limited to close family and friends.
Pimp C was found dead on December 4th in the Mondrian Hotel in L.A. He was only 33. Officials said the rapper, died in bed and no signs of foul play were found. Autopsy and toxicology reports have not been made available yet.
The rapper, who's real name is Chad Butler, was one half of rap duo Underground Kingz. Just this year, UGK snagged their first No. 1 album, partly because of the single "International Player's Anthem (I Choose You), which featured Outkast. Two days after Pimp C's passing, the single gave UGK their first Grammy nomination in the "Best Performance by a rap duo or group" category. RIP Pimp C.
