Nicole Richie and Joel Madden played Mr. and Mrs. Claus at a bash they held for 200 kids, as a part of their Richie-Madden Children's Foundation. You may recall they held a baby shower for 100 women earlier this month.
The couple gave away Stride-Rite shoes and Cloud B Cuddle Cub bears to children of Beyond Shelter, a program for families dealing with poverty and homelessness.
"Who wants to throw pies in Joel's face?"
Nicole exclaimed with glee and the kids went wild.
"It's fun for us to be with a bunch of kids who are having a good
time," Madden said. "They make you smile. Hopefully
for today they're feeling special." The foundation is "really important
to me [and] it's really important to Nicole," he added. "We're just
really happy to be a part of the community and celebrating with these
kids who haven't been as fortunate as us."
