So, I've long been one of those nay-sayers on the whole Gyllenspoon thing. I put my money on it being a publicity stunt long ago, and swore to hold that bet. But damn it if those two haven't upped the ante by dragging the kids out over the holidays and playing at family stuff. I wouldn't put anything past these two and their publicists, except the exploitation of Reese's children, so if the children are being paraded around, I need to rethink my bet on the fakeitude of their relationship.
I've given serious consideration to the possibility that a) Jake is just tagging along on Witherspoon family outings as their eccentric-but-lovable 'Uncle Jake' and there is no suggestion of future step-daddy status implied, or b) Reese is not above drawing her children into elaborate publicity stunts, and while I think that a) might be a possibility, I find it hard to wrap my head around b). So I've decided to reserve my bets for or against the verisimilitude of this relationship and/or any claims concerning Jake's heterosexuality.
