Britney Spears invaded my dreams earlier and ran over me. It was more like a nightmare really, and why am I dreaming about her anyway because I write about her 5000 times a day? The dream was fitting though because it begs the question, does Brit have a valid California driver's licence?
An attorney for Spears (one of the lawyers that quit?) wants the L.A. attorney's office to prove that the empty headed poptart is a permanent California resident and subject to state laws that require her to have a valid state driver's licence.
Britster could face up to one year of probation if convicted in a misdemeanour case of allegedly driving without a valid licence. There is video of Spears hitting a parked car in a lot back in August of 2007. The "brainiac" of course pleaded not guilty y'all. The hit and run charge was dropped.
Michael Flanagan filed a court motion on Wednesday that requires prosecutors to show that Spears, who owns homes in Louisiana and FL, intends on making Los Angeles her legal, permanent home.
"If they can establish that Britney is domiciled here in California, that she permanently intends to stay here, then she does have a requirement to get a licence," explained Flanagan.
During the time of the alleged incident, Britney had a valid Louisiana licence and then 6 days later, she got a California licence.
Britney really needs to quit driving, period. Even in my dreams.
However, at this point, due to recent events, this is the least of Brit's troubles.
