Johnny Depp, star of Sweeney Todd, made apartment building owners very happy when he purchased one of their $2 million penthouses. They were apparently struggling to sell them, however, now that Depp is on the block, everyone wants to buy one and be his neighbor!
Apartments in the 13-story Art Deco Eastern Columbia Bldg in downtown Los Angeles, start at $600,000 and began quickly being sold to excited fans who wanted to have the same zip code as Johnny. Reportedly the building is 90 percent occupied now.
A sales agent commented, "We've been very successful, with only a few lofts remaining."
Hmm, I wouldn't mind living next to a dirty, sexy pirate myself!
