Christina Aguilera And Baby Max Home Now

Posted by Sassy Smith

New mom Christina Aguilera and her baby Max Liron are home now, I'm sure settling into a brand new routine and way of life.

A source close to Aguilera told E! News that the pop star was and still is - "really sore" as a result of her C-section on Saturaday.

"It was more painful than she thought."  The source added that she is, "already singing to Max."

Christina left a special message and awesome video to her fans on myspace.  I'm betting she's going to be an awesome mom!

Did she actually expect a "pain-free" childbirth? I thought she was joking.

What is the deal with celebrities going through vaginal and more importantly natural child birth? I'm sorry...doesn't having that much money give you access to more education and information than many people have? Shame on women who opt for c-sections, and women who end up with c-sections due to setting themself up for problems by getting induced, using epdidurals, etc.

Apparently most celebrities choose to have a scheduled c-section a few weeks before their actual due date to "try" to prevent stretch marks. This is disgusting. Such elective surgery when bringing a baby in to the world is dangerous, and selfish. Not that I though more of her to begin with.

If it was pain she was worried about, maybe she shouldn't have opted for the incision through the belly that makes for weeks of painful recovery.

ERM... yeah, major abdominal surgery will generally leave one in pain for a few weeks.  What, did she think a C/Section was 'beaming' the baby out?  DUH!

i heard christina initially was very against having a c-section, but had the common scenario of having her water break, pitocin, more pitocin, and basically given the only option of c-section due to "failure to progress". So, i think, what I read anyeay, was that she was another woman with too much intervention, and ended up getting screwed out of her birth. i don't think she wanted that outcome and had planned vaginal birth. so, don't be so critical, but of course, you never know what you read in the tabloids!

I agree with adi.  Sometimes you have no options.  Unless you have your baby at home, which I would not choose to do because of the risks involved with that.

Susan, you do have options. All it takes is a firm "NO" when the doctor scares you into thinking you must be induced or your baby will die, or your amniotic fluid is too low, or you're past your due date, etc. Did you know that there is a link between induction of labor and the 701% rise in autism? And, you think home birth is a risk?

I've helped 2600 babies into this world at home and as far as I know, none of them are brain injured or suffer from autism, nor do the mothers suffer from post-partum depression, which afflicts over 800,000 new mothers every year in the U.S.

I intended to have a vaginal birth. I pushed for over an hour but with every push, my daughter had a heart rate of well over 200 and had the cord wrapped around her neck twice with other complications. I had no other option but a c-section. Of course its upsetting but shame on you Tana for saying "shame on women who end up with c-sections."

"shame on women who end up with c-sections."  I had a c sec I had too. I have a septum which prevented my baby from flipping. With my problem it would have killed me to deliver her breech and it put in her too much danger to try and flip her. Do you think I was going to put both of us at risk just to avoid a c section? I dont think so
