Nicole Kidman's Dad Delivering Her Baby?

Posted by Sassy Smith

Say it with me...uncomfortable!  Australian news outlets are reporting that Nicole Kidman's dad is going to deliver her baby with the help of her mom.  Apparently they did this for Nic's sister, Antonia.

Kidman's father Antony is not a medical doctor, however he is a mental health specialist.  Her mom is a trained nurse.  Regardless of what they are, wouldn't that be a tad awkward?  Personally, I would not want my dad getting a close up view of my privates.  But whatever floats Nicole's boat.

Happy birthing!

It's not like he hasn't seen them, I mean, sure it was a long time ago, but he wiped those folds and crevices for years, right?!

I say more power to her, if she can actually go through with it. A friend was forced to have her MIL deliver her baby b/c the birth was imminent and that was not planned and also quite awkward, but when all was said and done, she was thrilled by the experience.... her husband however, had a hard time getting over it!!!

My dad was present at my birth in the hospital.  He came in right at the end when I was pushing.  I didn't really notice much cuz he was mostly in the corner of the room.  It just got wierd later when i was being stitched and the blood everywhere...and all that...  He was a little shocked...

In the end nobody really remembers the gross stuff.  Getting to hold the brand new little baby is what matters most.

Yech!  No way old Nic will deliver naturally.  She will be on bedrest by 32 weeks, deliver by C-section at 38 weeks due to extreme high blood pressure brought on my excessive weight gain and old arteries.  All those hollywood broads have to deliver by C-section anyway cause women with Herpes and warts cant deliver vaginally.

It still creeps me out.  A dad standing way over in the corner is not horrible (I couldn't handle that though) but for her dad to actually deliver the baby?  Yuck. ;)
